Try Swinging you club with your head down. Then try doing the same thing without looking at the ball fly off your club. You control will improve.
Dress appropriately for Golf.
A simple dress code for those who play golf. This is what the country clubs expect.
1. A golf shirt with a collar. Sticking to name brand golf wear is a very safe bet but not most important.
2. Shorts are OK, but they must be designed for golf; not gym shorts or cut-offs. They should be no shorter than just above your knees.
3. Denim apparel is usually not appropriate. Jeans are too casual for golf.
4. Pants and/or shorts should have belt loops, but no cuffs since they trap dirt.
5. Wear a belt. It does not have to be leather, but it should be classy.
6. Golf clothes are often bright and colorful, but you don’t need to wear all the colors at the same time! Some work together. Choose one bright color and pair with neutrals (tan, black, white). If you choose to wear plaid only choose one item.
7. Wear proper shoes – Just about every country club has switched from metal spikes to require soft spikes or a “built-into-the-sole” tread design. Bring a pair of street shoes. You may be having lunch or a drink in the clubhouse afterwords.
8. Hats are a good idea. They help keep the sun off your face, and may improve your vision. Either baseball style or straw golf hats are appropriate. From the looks of pro golfers anything is become appropriate.
9. If you’re playing in cooler weather a golf sweater, vest, or jacket is practical.
